Should you be more than 65 years old, have been prescribed medicines besides contraception in the past year, or currently suffer from a chronic condition, you will find that the website will tell you it can't give you a quote and you need to speak to the insurer on the phone.

When you fill in a quote form, you will be asked for your name, email address and postcode. The postcode is asked for because some people who live in certain parts of Britain statistically file more holiday insurance claims, so this can affect the quote calculation. Don't be tempted to enter different details to get a lower quote, as if you then claim your policy will be void.

Different policies offer different types of cover, so you won't be able to directly compare different quotes and policies, and you should read the details carefully before you apply and commit to check you have the cover you need.
