Affinity Savings Accounts
Not all affinity accounts are instant access, it is therefore advisable to check what access you have to your funds.
Affinity Saving Accounts offer the ability to save money in an instant access account whilst supporting a club or charity of your choice. Many companies offer an initial payment, usually to the value of £5, to the club or charity of your choice once an affinity account is opened. This is then often followed by ongoing donations which are related to the amount of interest earned from the funds in the account.
The interest earned through these accounts is usually quite low and is subject to tax. You can open an Affinity Account with as little as £1, but this may vary depending on who holds the account
Affinity accounts are offered by most large banks and building societies. Many of these account types are managed from within the bank and not online, as this may be an inconvenience to some people so it is worth checking before agreeing to the account exactly how you access the account.
