Sainsbury Pet Insurance: Compare

http://www.sainsburysbank.co.uk/

Sainsburys pet insurance is one of the more recent products to be offered by the supermarket chain. Benefits which it shares with most insurers include cover for vet’s bills, the cost of advertising and providing rewards for missing pets and holiday cancellation if your pet falls ill. There’s also third part liability cover for dogs (who are presumably more likely to get up to mischief than cats). More unusually, it also offers cover for complimentary treatment.

ainsburys will save you the trouble of comparing its quotes with those of near competitors if you so wish with the ‘How do We Compare?’ page on its website (www.sainsburysbank.co.uk). By the looks of it, favourably – Sainsburys pet insurance is by far the lowest in every category. But it’s important to remember with insurance that lots of variables contribute to how good value a policy is. With pets, how premiums vary will depend most on the age and type of animal, and where you and your pet live. The figures Sainsburys quotes are based on 2 year old animals all living within the same (presumably lower risk) postcode. And it’s not stipulated on the quote comparison what the cover consists of. Most insurers have particular strengths, so it’s always worth doing your own comparison, tailored to your exact policy needs. Note that with Sainsburys pet insurance, as with all policies, it’s important to comply with the conditions stipulated. In this case, you must make sure your pet has had all the vaccinations required for the cover to be valid.
