Home Equity Loan Calculator - Fast Payments UK

A home equity loan calculator can be used to work out how much you are able to borrow in the UK, and to help you decide fast which system of payment is the right one for you.

Where can I find a home equity loan calculator?

Many lenders will have loan calculation facilities online. These should give you a good feel for the types of loans available to you, and how much you can expect to borrow. Once you have weighed up your options and compared different loans and lenders, speak to your financial adviser to discuss the matter in greater detail.

How do I calculate the value of my home equity?

Most lenders will use two key factors to calculate the amount you can borrow: your age and the value of your property. Generally, the older you are, the higher the percentage of your home's equity you will be able to borrow.

For example, a sixty year old individual may be able to borrow up to twenty percent of the value of his or her home, but a seventy year old is likely to be offered around thirty percent, an eighty year old will get forty percent and so on. If the home is jointly owned, the youngest person's age will be used.

Remember, these are only simplified examples and the actual loan amount will differ depending on which company you take out the policy with.
