Despite launching as recently as 2001 Esure car insurance has already made quite a name for itself. Much of their impact can no doubt be traced to the company's impeccable parentage; having been conceived by the founder of Direct Line with the financial backing of the Halifax.

Esure's philosophy differs from other insurance providers in that they only ensure drivers who have already built up four years no claims discount. By focusing solely on careful drivers Esure are able to offer extremely competitive premiums. However, it doesn't stop there; safe motorists are further rewarded by a no claims policy that rises to 75% after ten years without making a claim. If you have made a claim within the last four years you'll be redirected to the Halifax site.

Esure only sells comprehensive cover with options to choose different levels of excess (the higher the agreed level of excess; the lower the premium), additional medical expense cover and no claims bonus protection.
