But we’ll set that puzzling image aside and concentrate on the services provided. One of Virgin’s specialities is that it doesn’t charge extra for spreading payments. Since interest can add a lot to an insurance premium this could be an advantage if you don’t want to pay in a lump sum. Other reasons in the company’s own account of ‘Why [to] choose Virgin’ include a promise of help round the clock, including breakdown support within the hour. And there is a discount for customers with other kinds of insurance provided by the company.

Before you decide to take out any insurance policy, though, look into as many options with as many companies as possible. And check what consumer sites and magazines have to say. Quotes, and the kind of service you’ll get if you make a claim, can vary significantly from company to company.
